ABOUT

A commercial founder rather than a sector specialist.

PJ began his career in advertising and marketing in Canada and the UK before moving into entrepreneurship. His work has consistently centred on finding markets where the existing commercial model does not work particularly well for customers or distribution partners, then creating a different way to structure the opportunity.

In 2007 he founded Spark Energy after researching the UK utilities and residential property markets. Spark was built specifically around the needs of the lettings sector and grew into a substantial UK energy supplier before PJ sold his interest and stepped down as CEO in 2014.

Subsequent ventures have spanned telecoms, property services, energy switching, affiliate marketing and receivables finance. Today his focus is on businesses that combine customer acquisition with smarter commercial and funding models.
